The Story Behind The Name

I named my business "Blue Freedom" after my hero, my Dad, and the legendary car that started it all.

Back in 1973, my teenage dad and his best friend, Steve, spontaneously bid $75 on a beat-up 1950s Chevy Bel Air at an auction, thinking it was a joke. They won. And that's how the legend of "Blue Freedom" began.

We all remember that incredible sense of freedom that comes with your first set of car keys. For them, that car was the vessel for unforgettable memories, friendship, and the time of their lives.

My dad kept that car running for over 40 years, eventually having it totally restored. Though my dad passed away ten years ago, Blue Freedom was a staple of our lives: the car we loaded the dog into for lake trips, the one he let me drive on gravel roads when I was far too young, and the one that survived everything.

I named my business after that car because it represents so much more than a vehicle. It’s a feeling. My hope is that my services can offer you a similar sense of release. When we help you clear out that basement or haul away that pile of old stuff, you can feel the same powerful sense of freedom my dad felt driving around with his best friend.
